Gary-Wilson-Colonist News Karenne Wilson

Whenuakite famers and active Classic Yacht Association (CYA) members Gary and Karenne Wilson have restored yet another piece of maritime history, the hundred year old Colonist.

Completed in a barn on their property the restoration has been a combination of six years work with contributions from both the farming and maritime community.

An E-class race boat, Colonist (E2), lanquished in Gulf Harbour before being taken on as a long term project by the talent country musicians, who are planning to launch the vessel in Whitanga, 2pm , 22 February, 2012.
