Life membership to an organisation is testament to the valuable and dedicated service an individual provides. Coastguard Boating Education's chairman of the board, Brooke Archbold, is a prime example of such a person.

Brooke has been awarded a Coastguard New Zealand Life Membership for his extensive and significant service of more than 27 years, joining a select group of nine. He first joined Coastguard in 1983; over the years he has been involved in most facets of the organisation from past president of CNZ to numerous positions on committees and boards.

A passionate advocate of boating education, he says 'It's all about the people. The most enjoyable thing is seeing a younger person entering the organisation, a bit of a rough diamond, and watching them develop. It's made a lot of us, myself included, better people.'

Life Membership is a significant milestone, Coastguard Boating Education congratulates Brooke on his achievement.
