America's Cup- Oracle Racing's James Spithill joins the Mile High Club

The first day of the America's Cup Regatta and Media Trials ended in spectacular fashion today as Oracle Racings's America's Cup winning skipper, James Spithill, managed to go down the mine in their AC45.


While the leap from the windward hull to the briny might be 'only' 26ft, we bet it looks a Mile High from up there, and so James Spithill and the crew of Oracle Racing join the crews of Emirates Team NZ and Artemis Racing in making the Mile High Club.

And if you thought a 26ft leap was a test of courage - the same feat from anAC72 will be a fall of 46ft - just about enough to deploy a parachute :-)
