America's Cup- Challengers on the Bay in 20kts of breeze - Video

by John Navas on 29 Jun 2013
Man down the side of Luna Rossa adjusting the new daggerboard 34th America’s Cup - Luna Rossa and ETNZ training ACEA/ Bob Grieser http://photo.americascup.com/

Another great piece of video from John Narras, from Thursday June 27, showing Emirates Team New Zealand, Luna Rossa in their AC72's and Artemis Racing practicing on two foiling AC45's.

For Luna Rossa it was the first time on the water with new dagger boards.

Looking ahead to the next America's Cup and the debate about whether AC45's would make a good event - compare here with the AC45's in race practice and the AC72's notquite doing the same thing.

Winds in these sequences were 15kts gusting 20kts http://tidesandcurrents.noaa.gov/data_menu.shtml?bdate=20130627&edate=20130627&metinterval=&unit=1&shift=d&stn=9414290+San+Francisco%2C+CA&type=Meteorological+Observations&format=View+Plot!click_here for the full data. The video was shot between 1030hrs and 1430hrs local time
