A great weekend for Québec Team at Fall CORK!

by Fédération de Voile du Québec on 27 Sep 2013
Optimists - Fall Cork 2013 John Hudson
At Fall CORK in Kingston, which took place from September 20-22, the Quebec Sailing Team had a great weekend.

Races were held under difficult conditions with rain and winds from 2-20 knots that shifted up to 180 degrees. It was a challenging regatta. Despite the weather, our athletes gave the best of themselves and claimed a few spots on the podium.

In the 29er class, First and second were held by Stéphane and Sophie-Andrée Vinet, then Virgine Corbeil and Florence Pépin-Delhaes. It also worth noting that 2 Laser sailors, Victor Sullivan (12/35) and d'Arthur Daignault(14/35), performed well as they competed against veteran and high-caliber sailors from Team Canada.

Other results from our athletes:

Optimist /20: Thomas Harries in third, Maxime Amyot in fourth, Marc-Andrew Robin in 11th

Laser Radial /36: Philipe Pasquin in third, Rebecca Abelson in ninth, Rae-Anne Norwood in 11th, Coralie Vittecoq in 18th, Victor Daignault in 27th

420 /6 : Justin Vittecoq and Alfonso Garcia-Bigras in second
