24th Sigma 38 National Championships May Bank Holiday weekend

Sigma 38 National Championships Sigma Class Association
The 24th Sigma 38 National Championships will be hosted by the Royal Lymington Yacht Club over the first May Bank Holiday weekend 5th-7th May.

The race committee will organise Olympic courses in Christchurch Bay, round the can racing in the Western Solent and, in keeping with the Sigma 38 offshore pedigree, a longer coastal race in the channel.

Despite being into their second decade Sigma 38s are one of the most active one design fleets and regularly have one of the largest crew participation in several of the biggest UK regattas. The active fleet is stimulating renewed interest in the boats. Boats change hands regularly and are highly valued despite difficult times. Michael Fenlon, the class’s newest owner says 'I bought the boat to enjoy high quality, one design racing but, in addition, I have been impressed with the welcome and help I have received from the active class association.'

The Sigma 38 Class Association is thrilled to announce Yachting Sports UK Ltd as the principal sponsor for their 2012 National Championships.
