Gill Gear for ARC's Lucky 200 Sailors

by Media Services on 25 Mar 2006 World Cruising Club, organisers of the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers (ARC) Rally, has appointed sailing clothier Gill as Technical Clothing Partner for the ARC and other World Cruising Club events.
Bringing these two quality companies together is just one more step in the preparations for this year’s ARC, which will depart from the Canary Islands on 27th November. In March the organisers held a seminar to prepare intending participants. More than 200 hundred yachts and catamarans are expected to join the cruise, which last year attracted the maximum 225 participants.
On the appointment of Gill, a spokesman for the company said last week, ‘With 30 years experience in the design and manufacture of clothing for the offshore sailor, Gill were a natural choice.’

World Cruising Club themselves have 20 years as organisers of the largest trans-ocean event in the world, which sets them apart as leaders in their field.
