Planning on exhibiting at the 2012 Brisbane Boat Show? Get in quick is the advice from organisers as the show, held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre on 23-26 August, is nearly sold out.

Marine Queensland Events manager Jason Plant said excitement was building for this year’s show.

The opportunity to present and stage new and innovative designs to the Queensland market for the very first time along with the chance to help boaties gain the most from their marine experience, made the show one not to be missed.

'At last count we have one World release, two Australian releases and ten Queensland releases taking place at the show' said Plant.

'This year’s event is proving to be a showcase of everything marine under one roof.'

Marine Queensland Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Don Jones said the positive start to the 2012 Australian Boat Show Circuit is indicating a renewed interest in all things marine.

'Industry reported an encouraging start to the year with good results at the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show and results out of last month’s Melbourne Boat Show indicated that this is a positive trend we will see continue through the rest of the nation’s Boat Shows' said Jones.

'Today’s consumer is very savvy and the Internet has made it much easier to do your research,' Mr Jones said.

'But nothing beats getting up close and personal to get a good look at a boat you may be interested in buying. Boating is so varied: there are so many different types of boats out there - each better suited to certain purposes so boat shows are a great and easy way to canvas the whole market and find out what craft would best suit your needs.

'Having all the experts in one place makes it easier than ever to do your homework.'
