America's Cup - Video of Brits AC50 launch and team base construction

Bermuda based Media/News company Ber Memes was invited to the launch of Land Rover BAR's AC50 on Monday, and took along a drone for the occasion capturing some interesting video of the launch ceremony (including the hammer attack on the carbon bottle that wouldn't break).

Also clearly visible are the French and New Zealand bases still under construction on 'the Island' and separate from the longer established bases of the other four teams.

On the video the white closed in tent is the Red Bull Base, Groupama Team France also have some tents being erected. The images from Emirates Team NZ show the framework for their tent being erected on 'the Island'which is on reclaimed land.

One of the images shows the bases for the four teams already in Bermuda and the bases for the two teams yet to relocate. Clearly there is still significant reclamation work still to be completed, begging the question as to where the teams would have been housed had they elected to establish facilities in Bermuda at the same time as the others.
