How's this for a red on an octo jig! Lee Brake
FishingBoating-World.com's newest contributor Lee Brake has been fishing the waters of north Queensland since he could walk and from humble beginnings catching whiting and bream in the creek with his father and grandfather, he can now be found almost anywhere on the blue.
These days you're likely to find him up the creek bait fishing for grunter and mangrove jack with his fiancé, working his way along a mangrove bank flicking lures for barra with his old man Graham, or jigging big soft plastics and octo jigs for red emperor and nannygai on the Great Barrier Reef with Reefari Charters. In fact, the old adage 'If it holds water, I'll fish in it' fits this angler to a tee.
Lee's background in the fishing and publishing industry began as a teenager where he worked at various tackle shops to put himself through a Journalism degree at Central Queensland University which led to a short stint as a Feature Writer for the Mackay Daily Mercury.
From there he took the Editor's job of well-know Queensland magazine NQ Fish & Boat while also contributing to a variety of publications including the Courier Mail, NAFA, Barra Bass & Bream, FishLife, Go Fishing, Saltwater Fishing, Fishing Like the Pros and Sport Fishing Australia and now Lee will be contributing a weekly feature on FishingBoating-world.com.
