Finn Grand Slam Silvaplana Leg 6 - a feast for the eyes

by Robert Deaves 7 Sep 11:49 PDT 3-6 September 2026

Leg 6 of the 2026 World Tour for Finns Grand Slam - Grand Slam Silvaplana - was won by Simon Bovay after a dominant performance with six times line honours from seven races (even if one was an OCS).

Peter Theurer was second and Christoph Burger third for a full Swiss podium.

Though two days were lost because the Maloja wind did not appear, the two days of racing possible were exceptional for imagery and competition. Mark roundings were tight, no quarter was given, and everyone pushed for the finish. Smiles everywhere. The venue is just incredible.

Swiss hospitality was exceptional, with stegbier after racing and the event dinner after a cable car ride to the 3,300 metre high Corvatsch.

Results for the 2026 Grand Slam will be updated after the Grand Slam Berlin, which starts Tuesday.

In the meantime here are some more photos from Silvaplana - a feast for the eyes.
