Sea for All: the inclusive sailing boats at the "Campionato autunnale" in Lignano S - Italy, four weekends of beautiful and inclusive sailing.
The event concluded with great results - not only competitive - characterized by enthusiasm and participation, despite the adverse weather conditions.
On Saturday, December 3th 2022 in Lignano the final round of the Autumn Sailing Championship was held - just in the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. It consisted of four weekends of sea and wind with the last one cloudy, gusty and rainy without this having hindering the enthusiasm of the racers, among which the inclusive Tiliaventum (a local sea sport association) teams on board on Càpita, the accessible day-sailer who finished in second place overall.
A wonderful sign that confirms that sport is an activity that contributes to the psychophysical well-being of people, so-called "disabled" and not, and brings benefits in interpersonal relationships and in the impacts on the quality of life of all people. The activities of the association are held throughout the whole year. They are called Sea4All and include sailing, kitesurf, sup for everyone in addition to excursions, gatherings, informal and formative meetings - always with an inclusive approach as are the crews that participate in the regattas also not specifically Paralympic as was the case of the Autumn Championship in Lignano - without any physical, mental nor economic barrier - as all the Tiliaventum activities are free.
After the 2022 racing season, full of satisfaction with more than 400 days/person dedicated, on 83 occasions during the year, the activities will continue also in this last part of the year with sailing, training, meetings and planning for 2023 with increasing enthusiasm and initiatives.
