World's largest tall ship arrives in the UK for her inaugural sailing season

Tradewind Voyages has announced the arrival of Golden Horizon, the world's largest tall ship, who sailed into waters off the coast of Weymouth on 23rd June.

From 7am on 24 June, Golden Horizon will spend three whole days docked in Portland, before being anchored in Weymouth Bay for three days. She will dock back into Portland at 6am on 30 June, ahead of welcoming her first guests for the 1-7 July Dress Rehearsal. A second round-trip Dress Rehearsal will depart Portland 7-13 July, following the same route.

The official inaugural for Golden Horizon will take place from 19-24 July, with a round-trip voyage from Dover visiting Cowes and Plymouth, as well as allowing guests the chance to experience the ship under sail on two sea days.

Easy to spot with her impressive sails, totalling 6,300 sq metres of canvas, everyone is encouraged to look out for the ship around the coast of England this summer. And those who #SeeGolden with their images on social media have the chance to win a £5000 voucher for a Winter 2021 - Summer 2022 voyage.

Golden Horizon will continue her UK season based out of Dover after the Dress Rehearsals, with her final UK voyage being from Harwich, taking in the Cowes Week Regatta on 4 August.

With a maximum capacity of 272 guests (136 as current Government restrictions stand) and 140 cabins that are all sea-facing, Golden Horizon is a near replica of the 1913-built ocean vessel, France II. She retains the charm, adventure and romance of an historic ship. Boasting five bars, impressive spa facilities, three pools, a spectacular dining room with central skylight for top-notch dining and a high staff-to-guest ratio means that first-class service is guaranteed for everyone travelling with Tradewind Voyages.
