The second Cascais Winter Series of the SB20 class started with 29 participating boats which completed the three races scheduled for the first day with wind between 7 and 8 knots and varying between West and Northwest.
Leading the fleet and with a bullet in the opening race was PussPuss - SailCascais by Vasco Serpa with Joaquim Moreira and Pedro Costa Alemão. In second place was the Lusíadas Saúde team, led by Vasco Antunes Pereira and assisted by Diogo Barros and Tiago Morais. In the lowest place on the podium was the Roff becomes Inetum team composed of Manuel Marques, Hugo Mastbaum and Gonçalo Ribeiro.
On the second day of the 2nd Cascais SB20 Winter Series, the fleet cleft the harbour for the Cascais bay Race Area, with a wind of 5 to 6 knots from the Southwest. During the first sequence of starting signals, the wind fell to two knots, forcing the Race Committee to fly the AP, thus postpone the first race of the day.
In order to seek better wind conditions, the race committee moved to Guia race area. When they arrived at this place, there was around 6 to 7 knots of wind and the race committee started to set the course again. When it was already in start procedures, the wind shifted 40 degrees and forced the race committee to reset the course again. Once again with the course ready to go and Race Committee about to begin the start procedures, the wind shifted again and forced the fleet to wait a little longer. During this last adjustment, the wind fell to 3 knots where it remained until 1 pm when the race committee sent the fleet ashore to wait for more signals. Finally, once the minimal conditions were not met on this day, the championship ended, maintaining the same overall at the end of Saturday's racing.
