The Clipper 2019-20 Race will resume in early 2021 to complete the final three legs and the full circumnavigation.

Race Crew scheduled to join for the North Pacific Ocean, USA and Atlantic Homecoming Legs, along with the circumnavigators, will rejoin the 2019-20 edition of the race from February 2021.

This eleven-month postponement allows the fleet to avoid adverse weather patterns on the remainder of its 40,000 nautical mile global route.

The rescheduling of the Clipper 2019-20 Race will have an impact on the timing of future editions. With the next full edition of the Clipper Race starting in the summer of 2022, it allows crew the opportunity to spread berth fees over a further twelve months and plan the mandatory four levels of training around their availability.

While more details on this will be confirmed at a later date, applications for the 2022-23 race are already coming in from people all around the world.
