It is with great excitement that the Lark Class can formally announce that Synergy Marine will be building the new Lark with the first one due on the water in April!
The Lark is a two-man hiking dinghy with symmetrical spinnaker. Originally designed by Mike Jackson in 1966, the hull has modernised over the years and this is the latest step on an exciting journey. The class attracts a wide range of ages and size of crew with many parent/child and couples sailing together in this year's National Championships in Rock.
Synergy Marine was established by Simon Cox in 2010 and is responsible for building World Championship Winning Cadets and OKs. Synergy is based in Waldringfield in Suffolk, the perfect location for many Lark Sailors.
Simon has been a stalwart of the Lark Class since the late 1980's and was involved in the development of the Rondar Lark 20 years ago. A team of current lark sailors has been working hard with Synergy over the winter to modernise the internal layout of the boat which they are confident will be popular throughout the class.
Synergy Marine will be on stand D22 at the RYA Dinghy Show (29th Feb/1st March) and the first Synergy Lark will be on the water in the Spring.
