Multihull Solutions Phuket Regatta © Multihull Solutions

It's the time of the year when we look forward to taking a few days off over the Christmas break with the opportunity to watch the start of the Rolex Sydney-Hobart Yacht Race and follow the fleet down the East coast of Australia.

It may also be the time of the year when people consider a career change and Multihull Solutions have a vacancy that looks very inviting. They are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Yacht Sales Executive based in their Phuket Sales Centre in Thailand. The successful candidate requires a proven track record in yacht sales along with the ability to see the big picture and a view towards achieving long-term company growth.

In this ever-evolving world of eco practice and regulation, an interesting boat has been unveiled in Europe. The Waste Cleaner 66, billed as the world's most powerful all-electric boat is designed for cleaning up pollution in inland waterways and harbours. It will be unveiled by EFINOR's Sea Cleaner subsidiary at the International Nautic Boat Show in Paris-Porte de Versailles 7-15 December. The unique vessel is powered by a Torqeedo 25kW Deep Blue motor with a 40 kWh Deep Blue battery, which provides up to eight hours of endurance at a cleaning speed of two knots.

Also from Europe is the new Sealine C390v. HanseYachts presents the third and also largest model of the sporty Outboard-V series and confirms a trend towards fast yachts with outboard engines. The room comfort of three possible double cabins - among them an owner's cabin with en suite bath, an additional guest bath and the panorama-glazed saloon - all adds up for an unrivalled living concept in its class under 40 feet. The foldable glass door aft can be fully opened, creating a continuous living area between pilot seats and the engines.

As a follow on to the Superyacht ground-breaking legislation passed federally in the senate recently, the legislation will allow international vessels to participate in the fourth annual Australian Superyacht Rendezvous - to be staged in the Whitsundays by Coral Sea Marina Resort 16-18 October 2020. Confirmed this week in the Australian Federal Parliament, the Special Recreational Vessels Bill 2019 will allow vessels - such as superyachts - to apply for temporary licences under the Coastal Trading (Revitalising Australian Shipping) Act 2012. Organisers were quick to jump on this news and throw out the welcome to international superyachts to attend next year's Australian Superyacht Rendezvous being staged for the first time ever in the Great Barrier Reef.

And to all those people who like to party aboard, Fusion® have launched the successor to the highly popular MS-RA205, the new MS-RA210, packed with revolutionary Fusion Digital Signal Processing (DSP) technology and a new aesthetic design, offers users an exceptional audio experience in a compact form factor. Designed to deliver quality sound with a powerful feature set at a competitive price point, the MS-RA210 features a 2.7-inch optically bonded colour LCD display, built-in Class-D amplifier, Multi-Zone™ technology in two zones, and Fusion-Link™ integration.

To all the members of the Drummoyne Sailing Club: the club has the opportunity to compete in the Sailing Champions League and are looking for expressions of interest as both potential sponsors and as competitors. This is an opportunity to be part of a new exciting sailing format on our home waters west of the Harbour Bridge. Enjoy highly competitive sailing and a carnival atmosphere, all in the waters off Clarke's Point. Competition, camaraderie and sailing for the pride of Drummoyne Sailing Club!

Just a note regarding job vacancies: If you have a vacancy or are expanding your staff numbers, feel free to send us the details and we will post to the site at no charge.

Aveagooden!
