The wind came back with some force last Sunday and during the morning it looked as though it might actually have been strong enough to keep us all ashore. However ET was the Race Officer and decided that she should stay ashore, but that was no reason for us to join her - so she duly set up a battery start and Race 3 was on!

The Toppers went first, and by the look of it Dan Sherrif was first this week with poor Max Killner getting a DSQ. I hope that was not because he didn't sign out! Jenny Mullan and Jonny Potts were again the only ones out in the small dinghy class - well done guys. Staying in the boat was an achievement in itself on Sunday!

In the Laser 4.7's Ellen Barbour got the better of Lucas Nixon, reversing last week's result. Lucas still leads the class but Ellen is only 3 points behind.

In the large dinghy fleet David Fletcher and Ryan Smith collected their third first place of the series. Rob Milligan was pushed back into third place by Sandra Halliwell this week, who was obviously relishing the strong breeze! Brian Bibby was in fourth place. Dave holds onto first overall with Rob in second and Sandra in third.

In the Laser Radial fleet Russel Final had his best race and came in first with Jess Winton having a fantastic race in the strong breeze finishing second ahead of Ollie Haig and Joni Rock! Not sure of the full story of what happened here, but would like to know!

In the Laser Standard fleet it was pretty much as you would expect. The Simms Grim, were still away on their charity cycle (big shout out to them for completing this challenge for such a great cause). This left big Charlie to own the heavy wind race course, but he was pushed hard by Jonathon Henry who was second with Conrad Simpson have a great result in third and Chris Boyd in fourth. Mark Mackie had his first race and was a very creditable fifth, David Wilson also had a great race with a sixth. Overall the top three are Charlie, Chris and then Jonathon.

There were a few absentees again this week which will not help their cause at all. Good to see Micky and Alex back on the race course and of course Alex presenting the MUG of the day... not sure what happened so you can just create your own story!
