Lennon Sails Dominate at the 2019 UK Moth Nationals
Leading up to the 2019 UK Moth Nationals, the dinghy park talk wasn't IF Dylan Fletcher would win the event but by how big a margin! The work Dylan has done on developing his kit over the past two years has led to a dominant position in boat speed terms against the majority of the UK fleet. However, quietly working away with the Weymouth Moth group was honorary Brit, Brad Funk (USA 4). Brad has been playing catch up with Dylan and nearly pipped him to first place at this year's Nationals! Both sailors were using the Lennon Sails A3.5m DS with Dylan using the A3.5m+ standard rig - his light air set up. Brad used an A5m for the same conditions.

The event, which consisted of 11 races, threw just about every condition at the fleet from 25 to 30 knots on the first day to 0 knots at several points throughout the event. The race team at Castle Cove Sailing Club did a fabulous job to squeeze in as many races as they did in the difficult conditions. The event went right down to the wire with Brad and Dylan finishing on equal points well ahead of the rest of the fleet, with the two being split on countback giving Dylan overall victory.

Lennon Sails' own Mike Lennon finished 4th with a late surge on his light air rig. Mike, of course, being fully clad in his Lennon Racewear with Lennon Sails and Lennon Thinnair Moth and foils.

Lennon Sails took 7 of the top 10 places. For more information on our Moth Sails, please contact Mike Lennon: mike@lennonsails.com
