Sunday B Series at Scarborough Yacht Club - Race 5

A total of ten yachts from three of Scarborough's four classes competed for success in Sunday morning's 09:30 race.

Racing had been delayed by 30 minutes to see if wind conditions would improve. With the breeze gently moving up to 3-10 knots, and some consideration about the risk of a low tide after two laps stranding some vessels, a single lap course passing buoys to port was selected.

As has been seen at Scarborough before, low winds benefitted certain vessel types, with several using their spinnakers to good effect.
