Entry open for OptiOrange Valencia 2020

by Ivan Bidzilya 2 Sep 2019 05:42 PDT 5-8 March 2020

The third season of the fast growing OptiOrange Valencia is one step closer. The funniest, yet accessible and competitive regatta is ready to accept entries for its 2020 edition. The NoR, entry form and payment details are on the official page! The dates are 5th to 8th March.

Conceived around three main principles - competition, fun and easy access - the OptiOrange Valencia inaugurated in 2018 with 60+ entries mainly from Spain and Russia. For its second edition in 2019 the entry list has grown dramatically with 316 entries from 16 nations with some world-top sailors enrolled. For the next edition the organizers St.Petersburg Yacht Club and hosting Real Club Náutico de Valencia expect even more young sailors to visit.

Mainly positive feedback from the 2019 edition brought about some new ideas how the event can be improved in the future.

Firstly all the features that quickly made the OptiOrange Valencia so successful will be maintained. These are low entry fee, affordable boat charter, daily free meals for all and definitely free unlimited orange juice. Besides, considering some remoteness of the Club from Valencia main city, a free shuttle will be provided for all those staying downtown. So kids can race daytime and really enjoy beautiful Valencia in the evening. Also, for parents and guests daily spectator boat with commentary will be provided.

Than for the third edition it is considered feasible to have two race courses for junior and cadet sailors. So will be two scorings. And of course there will be clinics provided for those who want to be better prepared for the season.

Now the entry process is open. For the early birds the entry fee is as low as 90 Euros per entry (till 5th of February 2020).

All the details and entry-payment form are on the official website, optiorangevalencia.com
