West Marine is proud to announce the launch of its online tool created specifically for boaters, the Boat Commissioning Essentials. This tool is unique in the industry and designed to streamline the process of launching a new or used boat.

Located on the West Marine website, the essentials are categorized by boat type and size. Once the specific boat has been selected, a list of all required gear and boating essentials is available. Additionally, the items can either be added to the West Marine online cart individually, or as one complete order.

"West Marine is and always has been committed to our mission to outfit, educate and inspire boaters. This tool allows us to do just that," said Aaron Carpenter, chief marketing officer at West Marine. "We developed this resource for new boaters to improve their boat buying experience and get them out on the water faster. There isn't another tool this complete out in the market right now and we are proud to be the first to provide this resource."

The Boat Commissioning Essentials are found on the West Marine website, under "complete the project." Customers can find the tool by visiting the Advice & How-To section of the site and clicking the "Complete the Project" button on the left-hand side of the page. A list of required gear is available for power/fishing boats, sail boats, ski boats, pontoon boats, kayaks and dinghies in a variety of lenths and types.
