A high-octane slalom event, a themed regatta party and entry fee discounts for those sailing in both the nationals and the worlds are just some of the perks that organisers are touting for the 2019 Chandler Macleod Moth Worlds at the end of this year.

Following the release of the Notice of Race for the Australian and World Moth Championships later this year, which will be hosted by the Mounts Bay Sailing Club in Perth, competitors can start to put together a picture of what to expect at this epic event.

Perth will no doubt turn on great conditions with the Swan River recognised globally for its flat water and strong sea breezes, as well as delightful summer temperatures.

But it is also expected to be a great competitive event on the water with the Australian Moth fleet expected to turn out in solid numbers, as well as a talented international contingent.

Entries into both the Worlds and the Australian nationals will cost you $630 for an Open entry before 29 July, however late fees will begin to apply from there on.

There are also incentives being given to junior, female and non-foiling entries with basically 50% off the Open entry price.

Event organisers have planned an invitational slalom event to showcase the speeds of the class, which will take place after the invitation race on the opening day of the world championships.

Check out the Notice of Race to see all the entry fee breakdowns and details.
