LH2 started with Class 2 IRC at 18:12. There was somewhat of a car crash at the committee end of the line as that end was strongly biased and one or two boats were jammed against the inner distance mark protecting our race officer's motor cruiser.

We beat up to Hampstead with the tide and those who ventured straight across into the stonger flood did best, with Aventurea David Gough showing well and leading to the finish.

Reaching toward the mainland shore to a moveable mark there were place changes with Dynamic Jon Turner having trouble setting their asymmetric, and Minnie Alex Gratau not setting their spinnaker at all, both being passed by Charlotte Of Lymington whose motley crew has set theirs perfectly.

On the reach back to finish off Lymington John Turner in his lightweight flyer got his asymmetric setting well and overtook Charlotte Of Lymington, Peter Blick pushing them into third place on handicap.

This was a most enjoyable race with everyone getting back to the bar at the Club in good time for a well-earned drink and another successful evening at the Royal Lymington Yacht Club.
