The elegant and sleek
Melges E Scow is the pinnacle of high speed one-design racing for sailors in North America, from lakes and bays to protected ocean harbors. With over 70 boats regularly hitting the starting line at the National Championship, the Melges E Scow is an ever-growing fleet driven by a design that’s always innovating.
Each year, the season kicks off early on the warmer waters of Sarasota and Charleston. Cliff Russell won
Sarasota, and young Augie Dale-Jewett won
Charleston. The Midwest season starts in Lake Geneva every year. This past weekend was the
Lake Geneva Spring Regatta and Zenda University – Congratulations to I-9 (Pete Strothman, Bri Porter, Corbett Porter, and John Kotovic) on their win. The National Class E Scow Association, Melges, and
North Sails Zenda were proud to present the
Zenda University E Scow Clinic the day before the regatta. It was a great day of practice racing, starts, and hands-on coaching all capped off by a drone video debrief. A great learning experience and a perfect way to start the season! The Melges Team has been running Zenda University courses for over 25 years. Also new, the Geneva Lake Sailing School held their Spring X Boat Clinic alongside the E Scow regatta, which meant moms and dads could race E Scows while kids had fun learning and sailing their X Boats. It was a fun-filled weekend for both parents and kids. Learn more about the upcoming X Boat season in the
