Second qualifier of the British Keelboat League is at Draycote Water in May

The countdown is on! The British Keelboat League travels to Warwickshire for the second qualifier, hosted by Draycote Water SC on the 25th and 26th May 2019.
The weekend will comprise of a fleet of RS21s and up to twelve teams from local clubs competing in quickfire "sprint" races, each lasting around 15 minutes. Races will be umpired, and teams will rotate between boats in the fleet throughout the weekend of racing. By Sunday afternoon every team will have competed in approximately twelve races and the top two teams identified for qualification into the national final.
This event is a great opportunity for sailors to get together and race, representing their club at an event, without the hassle of transporting your own boat around the UK. The cost of entry for this qualifier at Draycote Water Sailing Club on the 25th and 26th May 2019 is £300 per team. All you need to do is enter your team and arrive at the club ready for racing on the Saturday morning!
Draycote Water is a 650 acre reservoir set high in the rolling Warwickshire countryside and Draycote Water Sailing Club, renowned for being a friendly bunch are eagerly preparing themselves to welcome the British Keelboat League teams. The race area is notorious for shifty and gusty conditions which will keep the teams on their toes for the weekend of league racing.
The cost of entry for this qualifier at Draycote Water Sailing Club on the 25th and 26th May 2019 is £75 per person. All you need to do it enter your team and arrive at the club ready for racing on the Saturday morning!
For those teams wishing to get in some pre-event training, we will also be offering the chance to take the boats out for a shake down sail on Friday 24th May.
