Cadets out for Friday evening sailing at Whitstable

Friday evening, most clubs are looking toward a great weekend to come and a pleasant evening in the bar. Whitstable was perhaps no different, the weather was great for a quick sail but the bar was busy... however the cadet fleet was getting ready to launch.

With support from the Whitstable Yacht Club cadet parents and club supporters a substantial number of cadets took to the water and enjoyed the delights of light but gusty winds and lively tides. From 420s to Toppers, the youngsters took full advantage of the great conditions and returned to shore well after the those in the bar had gone home for supper.

Saturday is Whitstable Yacht Club's Push the Boat Out promotion - but the cadets were already there tonight... the future and present of WYC members.

A moderate breeze fills in on boths days for the fleet Ten Wanderers gathered at Whitstable during the last week of August and the first weekend of September.
