The Marina Industries Association is pleased to announce that three marinas in Australia and China have achieved elite level platinum Global Gold Anchor accreditation. The marinas are Nansha Marina, Pearl River Delta China and in Australia, Birkenhead Point Marina Sydney Harbour and Soldiers Point Marina New South Wales.

MIA Chairman Andrew Chapman congratulated the management and staff of the marinas. He said "these three marinas have joined a group of only seven such marinas across the globe to have achieved this status. To rate this highly they must achieve a mark of at least 95% across a detailed assessment criteria examining the marinas facilities, services, management and administration. Importantly the views of marina customers are also surveyed to add to the robust nature of the third party evaluation".

The three marinas are all planning significant ceremonies over the coming weeks and months to celebrate their achievement with their staff, customers and communities. The Global Gold Anchor Scheme now has over 250 accredited marinas participating in the Scheme. A strong take up of the Scheme is occurring as marinas embrace the Scheme's focus on customer service and its benefits as a template for continual business improvement.

Details of Nansha, Birkenhead Point and Soldiers Point marinas can be found on their respective websites.

More details about the Global Gold Anchor Scheme can be found on the Marina Industries Association website.
