The countdown to the 20th edition of the the combined clubs' Jersey Regatta, being held over 14th to 16th September, is well underway! With the entry cut-off date of 7th September looming, those who have yet to sign up have just a few days left.

Now is the time to go to jerseyregatta.com to enter online.

Given the number of entries received, to date, all classes are well-represented promising a good deal of fun and competitive racing for all.

The Regatta programme remains unchanged from that of 2017 with a coastal race for the cruiser classes on the Friday followed by 'round the cans' and olympic course racing on Saturday and Sunday. The coastal race is apart from the overall scoring, enabling those who might not otherwise race over the weekend to enjoy all that the event has to offer.

The dayboat, dinghy, sport catamaran and windsurfer classes commence their programme during the Friday afternoon, essentilally a warm up for the Regatta proper.

This year, the Regatta is hosting both the Spinlock IRC Channel Islands Regional Championships for Class one and Class two cruisers and the British Kona One windsurfer championship.

Boats hailing from France, Guernsey and the UK in the cruiser, Quarter Ton, dinghy and windsurfer classes are sure to provide stiff competition for Jersey's sailors with the Quarter Ton class being, especially, the one to watch with high-fliers Sam Laidlaw's Aguila, Louise Morton's Bullet and Tom Hill's Belinda on the scene.

The Clubs are truly grateful to UBS AG Jersey for their enthusiastic sponsorship of the Jersey Regatta over the past six years and for Ports of Jersey and Condor Ferries for their longstanding support.
