Day 3
On the final day we were greeted with Weymouth and Portland's finest champagne sailing conditions, after a shore day on day 2 where fine boat tuning and help with any questions and Queries were the order of the day.
The whole fleet set out to complete four races to finish the Nationals. There was everything to play for as there was still no fixed front runner. Everyone was back on top form and eager to sail.
First race saw Nick Crickmore have a flying start up the left hand side of the beat up to the windward mark, closely followed by Luke Fisher and Jon Nuttall. Nick would later repeat this in race four of the day to take two wins of the day..
Races two and three were led from the start by the new comer Jon Nuttall with his fight and determination to get back into the top three, but even with all his efforts it was too late.
Ashore the RS Vareo prize giving was combined with the wrap-up ceremony for the whole RS Games. We all reflected on how well the event had gone and shared our experiences. This year the RS Vareo fleet were very happy to join in with the RS Family to celebrate the 2018 RS Games.
We would like to say a great big thank you to Weymouth and Portland academy for there hospitality and hosting the event. But the biggest thank you must go out to all the organisers, volunteers, sponsors and competitors that made the event happen. See you all next year!!
