They couldn't manage to beat them in Merlins.

My guess is a tussle between Stu Bithell and Andy Davis

Ah yes didn't spot them there ... I wonder if they have sobered up after the Olympic celebrations LOL
 
Compared to the Nothe course they should find the breeze quite stable, as for the tide Confused
 
Although I am not sure what my feelings are with a few full time pros turning up to give a few amateurs a good pummeling .... is that in the spirit of this event?

I'm guessing Ian Walker was unable to go? Pretty sure Mirror class have been invited in the past.
 
Hornet had 28 boats at the nationals
 
The 470 boys have got to be worth a punt- most of the other names mentioned were at the Mirror nationals when Stu won. Interesting to see them listed that way round?

I think there is some funny business going on with the entries.
 
I thought the helm of the class qualified.
 
Christian Birrell didn't win the Merlin's as the helm he was the crew.
 
The winning helm of the Merlins, Stuart Bithell, is listed as the 470s ... I'm pretty sure if they did the 470 nationals Luke would have been helming.
