Now let me guess that wouldn’t be Ballyholme by any chance would it English David? “The sun always shines on the righteous” or should that be “The sun shines on those always right”

Only one draw back Doug it isn’t in England but apparently they are not too keen on Byte C11’s so it can’t be as bad as all that.
Close your eyes and "GO FOR IT!" What else do we pay insurance premiums for?

We've had sunshine in the Scottish Borders today (I only notice when the weather is nicer up here than in the south - so not that often!)

Also the wind looks good for racing this weekend!   We tend to have longer sailing seasons in the north - probably because we are so used to the cold.

When it rains tomorrow I will be feeling depressed too.

Eh?

The thing about living up north is that you never have to worry about what to wear on the water. Drysuit at all times (although that's a different thread)! It also stays light later as we are further west but you are still derigging in the fading light. Damn those Laser sailors with their 5 minute deriggable boats (and they hog the showers cos theyy've gone out in hikers and rash vest and wonder why they are cold).

Currently it's trying to snow. Looks like it will top 20kts on Sunday so am e-mailing round the cat fleet to see if sailing is worthwhile. I may go out even if racing is cancelled cos I have a new video system for boat. Waterproof bullet camera linked to a mini hard-disk recorder in waterproof box (peli-case). Enough cable to reach top of mast but I'll just put it on spinni pole this week.

No such thing as bad weather. Just the wrong sort of clothes.

Don't moan and enjoy the sights... I'm off for a long walk with my camera; work will have to wait a bit!

Snow rarely settles on the water! So as long as you don't return to shore you'll be OK. I'm just grateful that the wind has eased!

(Why oh why does my boat cover always rip in the storms but never enough to be worth an insurance claim?)
