Wouldn't know James. I've only fallen out of it once in 12 years, out of many capsizes over the years. Most weird one was in Chichester harbour, when it inverted. Could not get it to shift from mast-straight-down. Hang on. Tide. Let's pull it the other way. Pop. No bother. And even if it inverts, I'm on top of the plate by the time the mast is horizontal

Cannot surpass yours buddy. You must still have that somewhere, but IIR your wordpress pages are no more My coaching advice these days is simply "get on the plate. PDQ" We're getting off topic of laser composite top sections a bit though

we are - anyway, happy sailing! And yes, good advice... get on the plate ASAP. It's supposed to be water sport, not a stroll in the country: get a bit fitter numpties!!!

To be honest exactly that. And that while my home club was closed or offering poor racing it enabled me to have my cake and eat it while things were open but in abeyance. And it was fun to try something I'd not done for a long time. To my surprise there is definitely more room in a laser than a solo. And it's not insignificant. I was pleasantly surprised as to how the XD kit has improved the boat. however, as repeated the rudder is shockingly awful still (Worse now i'm not 19) and the catching mainsheet is a pain though the technique to stop it isn't especially hard to learn - but why should we? |

Browsing Bartley SC, with a view to joining, checked amount of boats racing handicap, very healthy figures. Summer series positions so far put a 'Laser replica' in second place, a ILCA in third place, both had same PY. First time I have ever seen a replica mentioned anywhere, shows some common sense does exist.

What happens if I race a couple of weeks with a replica sail then for some reason I use a class legal one? And v/v? I have seen clear policies on replica parts in more than one club's NoR etc.

Looked like a full LP Laser, not just sail, sail #1 must be first LP Laser?
