At least you managed to tack away before hitting the shore Cry, I have been following a very similar track to you for the last couple of weeks (thunt is also close on our tails). Not much happening for the next 2 or 3 days then I think it is a case of hoping the Azores high lets us go round the top of it rather than through the middle!

Well looks like I'm set for the drag race for Les Sables d'Olonne. The wind forecasts have changed a bit over the last couple of days favouring a more northerly course than I'm on (Bootscooter, I think that worked to your disadvantage as well, so we were both caught out by that).
I suspect I will be loosing places for the next day and then hoping the wind angles will favour me again for the last hours into Les Sables. Hoping to keep below 15k for my finish.

Well, I think I've done all I can strategically to get past Bootscooter - now it's all going to be down to the wind angles for a drag race over the next few days as to which of us gets home first.

Just got back from Zurich. Managed to get online just enough... even persuaded someone to let me tether to their phone :)
 
Unfortunately I really wasn't lucky with the winds around the Azores high, so have been loosing many miles and places to others. Dougal is now right on my tail! 
 
Hopefully I can start to edge out again as I pick up the stronger breeze, but the forecast seems to indicate another high sweeping the area, so need to push on North asap.
 
Bootscooter, I reckon you'll be OK....just.
