Rooster 8.1

The Rooster 8.1 uses a Laser® hull and delivers power and performance to suit anyone over 90kg with a recommended handicap number of 1051 using a Rig designed by Ian Morgan and Steve Cockerill of Rooster Sailing. All parts of the boat are based on the Laser® but the class uses a longer lower mast some 740mm longer. For export there is a glass fiber extension piece used and for UK sales there is a one piece aluminum lower mast. Class rules are being written that do not control the angle of the rudder.
