London Olympics - Day 3 preview for Team Australia

The London 2012 Olympic Sailing Competition will proceed with day three of competition on Tuesday, 31 August. The windsurfing fleets will enter the fray on day three. Jessica Crisp will line up for Australia in the women’s fleet with London 2012 her fourth straight Olympic Games appearance.

The Finn and Women’s Match Racing fleets enter their third day of competition with races five and six for the Finns and the continuation of the Match Racing round robin. The Laser, Laser Radial and 49er fleets will all contest their third and fourth races.

Australian Results from Monday:

Laser – Tom Slingsby – 2/1 – 3 points – First overall
49er – Nathan Outteridge and Iain Jensen – 8/1 – 9 points – Third overall
Laser Radial – Krystal Weir – 18/18 – 36 points – 18th overall
Finn – Brendan Casey – 9/14 – 55 points – 12th overall
Women’s Match Racing – Olivia Price, Nina Curtis and Lucinda Whitty – Tied for First – wins against USA and GBR
