Cruise at The Cruising Yacht Club of Australia!

by Andrew Hawkins on 12 Feb 2010
CYCA Cruising information night Andrew Hawkins
Ever thought of cruising the spectacular coast of Tasmania? Seeing the beautiful Freycinet Peninsular; remembering the convicts at Macquarie Harbour; indulging in fresh seafood washed down with chilled wine whilst relaxing as the sun disappears...

If you answered yes to any of the above you need to come along to the CYCA on Tuesday second March for the first CYCA Cruising information night of 2010.

The Van Dieman's Land Circumnavigation 2011 will be the subject of this first information night and Jeremy Firth and Penny St Leger from the Royal Yacht Club of Tasmania are making a special trip up north to present to us. Members of the VDL-C organising committee, Jeremy and Penny will discuss recommendations for boat preparation for a Tasmanian circumnavigation, as well as entertaining us with stories and pictures of the wonderful places to be visited along the way.

On the evening the CYCA Cruising Committee will also be launching the CYCA Cruise to Hobart 2011. Following on the success of the 2009 cruise, the 2011 cruise will once again be timed so boats participating will be in Hobart for both the Van Diemen's Land Cruise and the Australian Wooden Boat Show.

Future information nights are:
6th April, Diesel Engine Maintenance – presented by Dave Giddings of Drive Marine Services
4th May, Electrical Maintenance – presented by electrical engineer Rob Starkey

Events start at 6:30pm, please confirm your attendance with CYCA reception on 02 8292 7800 or reception(at)cyca.com.au
