Perini's Farr40 Team Evolution in Newport

Richard Perini's Farr40 Team Evolution is in Newport, Rhode Island preparing for the North American Farr40 Championship, which commences on Thursday.
This event is being used by Team Evolution to prepare for their defence of the World Championship crown that they won in Sydney during March of 2005. The 2006 Worlds are to sailing in Newport during early September.
There is one change to the team of '05, with Rob Brown coming on to replace Hamish Pepper. Rob brings a wealth of experience to the squad including many victories in areas such as the Americas Cup, 18foot skiffs, Admirals Cup and more lately, the Etchells class.
The team is Richard Perini, Darren Jones, Rob Brown, Jason Rowed, Peter Ryan, Stan Eldershaw, Traks Gordon, Mike Dunstan, Nick Cleary and the bowman, Chris Cook. Assisting the team is Andrew Palfrey in the coachboat and Matty Day on shore. Katherine Leonard is keeping the team well nourished.
So far it has been a week of big occasions, with the coach's wife Kate adding to the Evolution family by giving birth to their third child, Charlie back home in Sydney. The following day it was Richard's birthday. At this time we are unable to announce which birthday Richard celebrated.
