by Claire Caffrey, RYA Scotland 8 Oct 2014 06:58 PDT 8 October 2014

The Participation & Development Team of RYA Scotland is delighted to announce four Regional Development Days for clubs and centres taking place at the end of November and beginning of December. The team have increased the number from last year in an attempt to take them round the country and so that potential participants are not restricted to attending any particular venue. The basic programme will be the same at each event.

The events are focused on sailing and boating development, across all facets of our sport, and will include a number of practical workshops to help your club or centre. Marketing, Valuing volunteers and Preparing for a funding application will all be covered the details of which are contained in the programme. The RYA Scotland team will also be presenting the "Toolbox" – our online resource to help all aspects of club and centre development.

The programme also includes an RYA Scotland update and a question and answer session. This will be an opportunity to share ideas, and help to plan ahead so that sailing and boating in Scotland has a foundation of strong and sustainable clubs and centres.

RYA Scotland hopes that you think that the programme will be helpful and somebody from your organisation can attend and come back with some practical ideas that will assist in your particular setting.

The dates for the Regional Days are as follows:
Nairn Sailing Club - Saturday 29 November 2014
Royal Northern Yacht Club - Sunday 30 November 2014
Perth Sailing Club - Saturday 6 December 2014
