ICSA - Competition, camaraderie & Cancer fundraiser

by ICSA on 23 Apr 2010
ICSA logo Intercollegiate Sailing Association (ICSA) . http://www.collegesailing.org/
Wasn't/isn't college sailing the best time of your life? Remember the friends? The wins, losses and rapid-fire racing that gave you a chance to better your skills and your team's position? Oh yeah, and the post-race camaraderie. Remember the coaches and competitors who shaped your college experience? Names like Gary Jobson, Ken Legler, Scott Ikle, Blake Middleton, Kevin Hall, Meg Gailliard Myles, Amy Gross-Kehoe.

They are all cancer survivors, so we're donating all proceeds to the American Cancer Society! Also in honor of Mikey Murrison, who lost his battle with Stomach Cancer at age 25.

DATES: May 15-16, 2010 at Annapolis Yacht Club.

BOATS: 420 Division (provided) or J22 Division (crew of four, charters still available).

ELIGIBILITY: Half of each team must have garnered an ICSA All-American Honor (Coed, Women's, Crew or Honorable Mention). One for 420's, Two for J22's.

FORMAT: Fleet racing Saturday, mixed teams team racing Sunday (the best events in College Sailing!)

SOCIAL: Friday night beer/wine/hors d'ouevres; Saturday night pig roast/beer/wine at AYC, all included.

ENTRY FEE: $100 per competitor (all proceeds to American Cancer Society)

BABYSITTERS AVAILABLE ON-SITE! Register with Jay Kehoe (jkehoe@annapolisyc.org) with names and ages of children.

Grab your favorite crew or skipper and get them back in the boat! Doesn't matter if they sailed on your college team or at all! Mix it up! Help fight Cancer!! Reunite with old friends and make new ones! See if you still got it, or if everyone else lost it, too!
