AIMEX/SA host internationals at SIBS, Phuket charter show, dream boats
A plethora of stories this week, from every level and far-flung quarter of the marine map.
There's boat show news in the lead up to Sydney, Brisbane and Mandurah, as well as the first alerts from IBEX, METS and Monaco.
Sydney International Boat Show Sydney Boat Show .
While the 46th Sydney International Boat Show is celebrating 25 years at Darling Harbour this year (August 1-5), before setting sail to a great interim facility at Glebe Island, Brisbane Boat Show is moving back to the new, improved RNA Showgrounds, September 6-9.

Also at Sydney International Boat Show, great opportunities for manufacturers and members of AIMEX, with AIMEX securing Chip Farnham from Imtra USA, a leader in marine systems and supplier to builders, repair yards, retailers, naval architects, as well as private yacht and vessel owners. He will attend the show and meet with AIMEX members, looking for new products to add to the company's portfolio.
Superyacht Australia too will be hosting Captain Charlie Dwyer, who lives and works in Thailand, during the Sydney International Boat Show. During his visit, he will view first hand the infrastructure and refit/repair capability of Australian superyacht industry businesses, specifically those in Sydney.
Superyacht Australia/AIMEX also plan to have a strong presence at both the upcoming Monaco and Fort Lauderdale Yacht shows.
We will have more on these significant events, as well as IBEX and METS, and the trade opportunities they deliver.
The region will soon have a new charter yacht show, with organisers of the Singapore Yacht Show announcing the inaugural show to be held in mid-December 2014 to be hosted annually at Phuket Yacht Haven in Thailand. Locally, industry groups and manufacturers welcome the news as 'a great concept and well-timed, with the arrival of more and more superyachts in this region', plus the ideal vehicle for Australian businesses involved in chartering, refit, repair and tourism to showcase their offerings.
For a burst of inspiration, we have a line-up of dream boats that have recently made the scene, from fantasy to fulfilled and launching at the European shows in Autumn.
What discerning megayacht owner wouldn't want to imitate the great white whale, Migaloo with a submersible luxury yacht equally comfortable above as below the waterline?
Check it out and more, each and every day right here. We have a slew of features coming live the rest of this week, including what the MarineBusiness-World and Sail-World team will be offering advertisers and exhibitors at the Sydney International Boat Show - and it's huge!
