Welcome to Yorkshire - Clipper Round the World Yacht Race Steve Holland/onEdition
Welcome to Yorkshire is leading the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race scattered fleet across the Atlantic where challenging conditions over the past week have hampered progress on this leg. With upwind racing as the sole choice on the menu for the past few days, teams are running out of strategic options and find themselves at the mercy of an unforgiving Northern Atlantic ocean. Quingdao has headed back to Newfoundland to provide medical attention to British crewmember Lynn Harmer who suffered a back injury.
The America's Cup World Series is back in North America this week; the event gets underway in Newport, Rhodes Island on Thursday, June 28th. I'll be enjoying the fast paced AC45's winged catamarans on-line at www.americascup.com/
