Toronto's Diane Reid and her One Girl's Ocean Challenge Mini 6.5 yacht are in France to participate in the popular European Mini circuit. Diane needs to complete a number of races to qualify for the 2013 Mini Transat and it begins today with the French Demi-Clé 6.50 which will take the racers offshore from Lorient in Brittany. Camper is some 800 miles from the finish in the Volvo Ocean race after their repair stop in Chile. Groupama secured important scoring points earlier in the week by finishing third. The start of the Leg 6 to Miami is next Sunday, with the popular in-port race on Saturday. Not much time to get the boat ready for Camper; Abu Djabi will re-join the fleet in Brazil while Sanya was shipped to the USA and will be back in Miami.
