In the immortal words of Arnie Schwarzenegger.......I'm baaaaaaaaaack.
From Miami, that is where I attended the 70th Miami International Boat Show and Strictly Sail and the 23rd Miami Yacht and Brokerage Show.
It was all good news for the boating industry (any boat show that can post a 14 percent increase in attendance must rate as good news) and I'm sure all who have a stake, no matter how large or small, will be hoping the signs have a strong degree of permanence.
Read on for my full report on Miami and a look at the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) with a couple of facts that may surprise you.
Miami Boat Show .
I've also taken a close-up look at Australia's Miami involvement, primarily, of course, our ‘Big Two', Maritimo and Riviera.
Both performed strongly, results that will sit well with their respective plants at Coomera, on the Queensland Gold Coast.
After flying across half the world, the last thing I really need this coming weekend is another airport and another aeroplane, but that's my lot as I head south for the Rosehill Trailer Boat Show in Sydney.
Fortunately, it's a nicely laid back affair and is really quite enjoyable; you'll be kept up to date with how it went right here on next week's Powerboat-World.
As usual, there's a heap of other news within these august pages to keep you occupied, from fishing to powerboat racing, from industry snippets to cruising.
If boating (under power) is you go, you've definitely come to the right website.
And don't forget our regular updates, so maintain the habit of stopping by.
If you happen to be at Rosehill, see an old fella looking like he's glad to be back in Oz, come say g'day.
Australian presence at the Miami International Boat Show Bob Wonders, Maritimo and Rivera all smiles after Miami effort. Spectacular is the only word to describe the Yacht and Brokerage Show; it's probably a kilometre or more long and there was no shortage of boats in the $10 million-plus range on display....
