ISAF World Cup: Team Jolly on winning the Gold Medal at Weymouth

For the last week, we have been racing in the Sail for Gold Regatta - the last World Cup event for us of the year, and pretty much the last big regatta we will do until the games. Nicely for us, it went rather well....

Peter Burling and Blair Tuke, NZ's 2012 Olympic 49er sailors, have achieved a second consecutive silver medal at the 49er World Championships.
Overnight in Zadar, Croatia, two final series races were sailed and then the double point medal race for the top ten competitors in the gold fleet. Nathan Outteridge and Ian Jensen of Australia won this event for the fourth time. ...[more]

At the half way mark of the ISAF World Cup Regatta for Olympic classes in Spain, the qualifying rounds have been completed and the NZL Sailing Team will be in the gold fleets of all fleet racing divisions.

The New Zealand Olympic Committee today announced a Sailing team to contest seven events at the 2012 Olympic Regatta in Weymouth, England, next August.
