Hutt International Boys School from Upper Hutt, Wellington, extended their lead on the water today to claim victory in the Harken Schools Regatta 2013. George Gautrey and his team of Callum Pritchard, Dan McDowall and Jono Francis sailed a very consistent regatta, with an impressive 17 points overall and only dropping their worst result, which was still an impressive fifth placing. ...[more]

Ten teams of talented youth sailors from schools around New Zealand are descending on the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron for this weekend’s Harken Schools Regatta.

Crusader the new Elliott 35 SuperSport was launched at Salthouse Boatbuilders last week and sailed her maiden race in the first of the Gold Cup Series held in Auckland on the weekend. What a difference a drop makes! In a nail biting finish to the Harken Schools Fleet Racing Regatta, between the two St.Kentigern College and KeriKeri High Schools teams, the final results were a tie for first place and only 1 point difference between the top six crews.

Peter Burling and Blair Tuke were today announced as part of the NZ Sailing Team for 2012 Olympics in Weymouth. They will sailing the Mens Skiff event, sailed in the 49er class.
