By Bob Fisher, Naples, Italy ,
6:30 AM Mon 22 Apr 2013
Race Day 4 America's Cup World Series, Naples: 'Super Sunday' – the very term is destined to be inspirational, but it can also induce fear to a team that has dutifully logged a series of good results to appear at or near the top of the scoreboard. The reason is the heavily skewed points available for the one race on the final day. ...[more]

By Bob Fisher, Naples, Italy ,
7:03 AM Sun 21 Apr 2013
Race Day 3 America's Cup World Series, Naples: As if by magic, as the time for the racing approached, the clouds rolled away and there was 13 knots of seabreeze – almost perfect. By Bob Fisher, San Francisco, USA ,
7:32 AM Fri 19 Apr 2013
Day 3 America's Cup World Series, Naples: Winds in Naples Bay have a reputation for being notoriously fickle. One old salt once expressed this graphically by altering an age-old instruction to 'See Naples and watch the breeze die.' And it did, during the races with patches of no more than four knots and huge shifts of up to 40 degrees. ...[more]

By Bob Fisher, San Francisco, USA ,
7:04 AM Thu 18 Apr 2013
Day 2 America's Cup World Series, Naples: There was a time, back when Olympic classes regattas were week-long affairs with one race a day, that Wednesdays were always lay days. Some of the sailors in the ACWS final regatta might have wished it were still the case, but all nine boats were out all afternoon for practice racing, just as they had been the previous day. ...[more]
Fisher's View: A gift horse in need - America's Cup WS, Naples - Day 1
By Bob Fisher, San Francisco, USA ,
11:42 PM Tue 16 Apr 2013
Day 1 America's Cup World Series, Naples: Today’s media 'conference', for want of a better word, was a shining example of a gift horse in need. It was held in a building with bare walls and more echoes than enough – and the behavior of the 'media' not actually involved was appalling – they talked loudly and the photographers were among the worst. Interviewing a skipper was a painful operation. ...[more]
