CAMPER with Emirates Team New Zealand’s Volvo 70 yacht slipped out of Auckland before dawn on Tuesday bound for Europe aboard the container ship Maersk Dabou.

Our team has been training on our AC45 here in Valencia for a week now. I went out yesterday and joined them onboard in 18-22 knots of wind. It was quite a ride! 27 knots was the top speed of the day and 20-24 knots is normal downwind speed in those conditions. ...[more]

Dell to add computer power to Emirates Team New Zealand

Dell has joined the Emirates Team New Zealand challenge for the 34th America’s Cup, adding significantly to the design team’s computer fire power.
Dell will supply the team with IT system design, hardware, system software and implementation.
