Team Sanya has checked her Volvo Ocean race inventory into Doyle Sails loft in Auckland's Avondale for a full service ahead of the start of the fifth Leg on Sunday, and In Port racing starting tomorrow, Thursday.

What a difference a drop makes! In a nail biting finish to the Harken Schools Fleet Racing Regatta, between the two St.Kentigern College and KeriKeri High Schools teams, the final results were a tie for first place and only 1 point difference between the top six crews.

Peter Burling and Blair Tuke were today announced as part of the NZ Sailing Team for 2012 Olympics in Weymouth. They will sailing the Mens Skiff event, sailed in the 49er class. A mixed fleet of skiffs, catamarans and single handed dinghies got together this weekend for the annual HARKEN Labour Weekend Regatta at the Bay of Islands Yacht Club. Everyone enjoyed the three days in the Bay of Islands.

The overall result was not what we were looking for, obviously we went to Weymouth looking to win, and after some a) Weird boat things, and b) Rather poor decision making at times, we came away with a fourth, which was a little surprising, considering how badly we sailed at times, we were happy to just make the medal race! ...[more]
