World ARC 2012, run by the World Cruising Club, doesn't start until more than a year from now, but already there are 24 boats who have either confirmed or paid their deposits. With one week to go before the ARC 2010 fleet leave Las Palmas for Rodney Bay in Saint Lucia, crews from the 205 yachts already berthed in the marina took part in the official ARC 2010 Opening Ceremony. With no entry fee and a small per head fee to pay for the socials, the fleet enjoyed discount dockage, four parties, free weather routing, waived head tax in Bermuda and a radio net. ...[more]
